The Miss York County Scholarship Organization is an official local competition of the Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Foundation, Inc and Miss America Organization. The organization is dedicated to the Miss America mission, “To prepare great women for the world, and to prepare the world for great women.”

The Miss America Organization dates to 1921 and is closing in on the century mark of providing scholarship to women.
